Purpose
To seek authorisation for the Head of Legal
Services to carry out the necessary legal and administrative
procedures required to introduce a Traffic Regulation Order, in so
far as it relates to the introduction of a 20mph Zone as per
Schedule 1 appended to the attached report and as shown on the
drawings numbered PT/TM/7503.
Decision
The Executive Director (Regeneration and
Economic Development) in consultation with the Cabinet Member for
Regeneration and Economic Development is recommended to:-
(a) Approve the introduction
of a 20mph Zone Order on the lengths of road described below:
i.
Willsford Avenue, Kirkby- From a point
16 metres east of its junction with Hayes Drive to its junctions
with Swinderby Drive and Southney Close.
ii. Swinderby Drive, Kirkby- For its entire length
iii. Kirkstead Walk, Kirkby- For its entire length
iv. Southney Close, Kirkby- For its entire length
v. Pickworth Way,
Kirkby- For its entire length
The extent of the proposals is as shown on the
drawings numbered PT/TM/7503, which is also appended to this
report.
(b) Authorise the Head of
Legal Services to advertise the intention of making the 20mph Zone
Order, as described in this report and shown on the drawing
numbered PT/TM/7503, pursuant to the provisions of Section 84 and
Schedule 9 of the Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and if no objections
are made within the objection period or no objections remain
unwithdrawn, to make the Order.
