Purpose

This report seeks approval from the Head of Planning to redesignate the Principal Planning Officer Post (Grade L) to a Principal Planning Officer (Grade N).

Decision

It is recommended that the Head of Planning & Building Control approves the redesignation of a Principal Planning Officer Post (Grade L) to a Principal Planning Officer (Grade N).

Alternative options considered

Do nothing, however this will lead to issues within the team with two tiers of Principal Planning Officer doing the same job.
