Purpose

The purpose of the report is for the Executive Director (Regeneration & Economic Development) to consider the application on behalf of YADA for a pavement cafe licence and the representations received in response to the application.

Granting the pavement café licence will assist the viability of the business but limiting the terminal hour to 10pm and the number of tables and chairs permitted in the area covered by the licence will address the concerns of Environmental Health and Town Centre Management and reduce the potential for any anti-social behaviour, public order or public nuisance.

Decision

Following consideration of the Pavement Café Licence application submitted for YADA, and the representations received from Environmental Health and Town Centre Management, the decision is to grant the pavement café licence until 10pm with permission for 4 tables and 12 chairs, as outlined in the plan of the premises submitted by the applicant’s agent.
