Purpose

The purpose of this report is to seek approval, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 7.7.1 (Schedule 1), for the award of contract to MIME Consulting Limited to undertake the Knowsley Primary Super Profiles Reports, to run from 1st August 2026, to 31st July 2027.  The Knowsley Super Profiles will be a key part of the evidence base to enable schools to plan for improvement in outcomes for children and young people.

Decision

The Director of Education and inclusion, in accordance with Contract Procedure Rule 7.7.1 (Schedule 1), hereby: -

(i)            approves the award of a contract to MIME consulting Limited to undertake the Primary Super Profiles Reports from 1st August 2026 to 31st July 2027, including options to extend for further 12 month period on completion of the project; and

(ii)          authorises the Procurement Team to make the necessary arrangements for the issue of the relevant contract documentation after conclusion of the call-in period / standstill period.

Alternative options considered

Do Nothing: This option was considered and rejected because the reports are key to headteachers being able to construct their School Improvement Plans based on the data that is provided.

Deliver in house: This option was considered and rejected because the chosen supplier is the only supplier that can provide this service. [DM4.1} delivering a compliant plan to meet Knowsley’s needs and respond to potential challenges.
