Lancashire County Council Cabinet approved recommendations on 7 March 2024. The Cabinet noted the Corporate Performance Report for 2023/24 Quarter 3. They also approved the commencement of procurement exercises for asphalt, aggregates, concrete, spray injection patching, IT reseller agreements, and letter/parcel delivery services. Additionally, the Cabinet approved the withdrawal of a proposed waiting prohibition on Lytham Road, Freckleton, and approved new and existing parking restrictions in Lytham St Annes. They also approved the 2024/25 Highways New Start Capital Programmes, including the addition of Department for Transport funding and proposed apportionment and programmes of work. Furthermore, the Cabinet approved an increase in Foster Care Allowances for 2024/25 and the submission of an outline business case for the A582 South Ribble Western Distributor scheme to the Department for Transport, authorising expenditure up to £19 million for development. The Cabinet also noted the Annual Report of the Director of Public Health for 2023/24 and urgent decisions taken by the Leader and relevant Cabinet Member(s). Finally, the Cabinet approved recommendations for the Samlesbury Enterprise Zone, with decisions implemented immediately due to ongoing discussions with the Government and to meet timescales.
