The Full Council of Lancashire Council on 12 December 2024 approved recommendations from notices of motion. The council resolved to ask the Interim Chief Executive to write to the PCC and the Minister for Crime, Policing and Fire regarding the independence of the Fire and Rescue Authority. It also resolved to ask the Interim Chief Executive to write to the Minister for Children, Families and Wellbeing, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, and the Chief Executive of NHS England concerning support for Family Hubs and dental care provision. Additionally, the council resolved to continue supporting net zero initiatives, prioritise clean energy production, and urge the Lancashire Combined County Authority to upskill the workforce for green jobs. Finally, it resolved to request an increase in fixed penalties and section 74 charges for statutory undertakers, ensuring these are not passed on to customers.
