Purpose
The
purpose of this proposal is to assist in the safe movement of
pedestrians on this section of road outside Turf Moor in line with
the design and objectives of the wider Town 2 Turf scheme in this
area.
The
raised nature of the crossing also assists in the reduction of the
speed of motor vehicles along this section, improving safety for
pedestrians.
This
proposal seeks to preserve and improve the amenities in this area
and improve road safety for all road users, including vulnerable
road users and pedestrians.
Consultations
Formal consultation was carried out between 6 September-2024 and
4 October-2024 which included frontagers to the proposed location
of the Bus Stop being notified and notices being displayed on site.
Divisional county councillors were consulted along with the
council's usual consultees and the consultation documents posted on
the council's website.
Following formal consultation No Objections were
received.
