Lancashire County Council Cabinet decided to approve recommendations on 9 May 2024. They approved the commencement of procurement exercises for an Employee Screening Service and the extension of Young People's Supported Accommodation Contracts for four months. They also approved the spending plan for Bus Service Improvement Plan Phase 3 funding, the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans, the apportionment of Integrated Transport Capital Funding for 2024/25, the creation of a bus only lane on New Hall Lane, Preston, and the Home to School Transport Policy for the academic year 2025/2026. Additionally, they approved an additional £5 million for highway maintenance capital allocations for 2024/25, to be spent on the Localised Deterioration Fund, white lines and road signs, and responsive patching. The Cabinet also approved revised terms for the City Deal.
