The Employment Committee of Lancashire Council decided on 14 January 2025 to approve a 4.75% increase to Senior and Area Coroner salaries and a 2.5% increase to Assistant Coroner daily rates from 1 April 2024. The committee also approved revised Terms of Reference and shortlisted candidates for the Chief Executive role. On 7 February 2025, the committee resolved to propose an offer of appointment for the Chief Executive and Returning Officer roles to Mark Wynn, subject to references and Full Council approval.
