Purpose

The national challenges around
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) have included
concerns around funding, workforce retention and skills, and
increasing demand for SEND services. These challenges have put
significant pressure on local authorities to meet the needs of
children and young people with SEND. In response to these
challenges, the Lancashire SEND Partnership has been working
collaboratively to improve services and outcomes for children and
young people with SEND.

This report highlights the
significant investment made by the council to stabilise and enhance
these services, shares the outcome of the SEND inspection, and
outlines the development of a Priority Action Plan and next steps
for the local area partnership. Additionally, it provides details
on the broader SEND transformation programme.
