Purpose

This report presents an application from a
local organisation requesting £2000 towards notice boards at
3 of the park’s main entrances and car parks, a series of
raised beds within the community hub growing space and new seating
for volunteers and visitors within this workspace from the Local
Member Grants Scheme.

County Councillor Mark Clifford considered and
approved a Local Member Grant of £2000 to Friends of Cuerden
Valley Park Trust towards the cost of notice boards at 3 of the
park’s main entrances and car parks, a series of raised beds
within the community hub growing space and new seating for
volunteers and visitors within this workspace.
 
County Councillor Mark Clifford declared a
non-pecuniary interest in this application as he is an unpaid
director of Cuerden Valley Park Trust due to his position at
Chorley Council and it is one of the outside bodies he sits on.
