The Full Council of Lancashire Council on 17 July 2025 approved recommendations regarding notices of motion. The council resolved to commit to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls, continue funding specialist services, and appoint a Lead Member or Member Champion for VAWG. It also resolved to ask Cabinet to review the council's policy on flying flags over council property, to ask the Chief Executive to write to the Deputy Prime Minister requesting legislation for fairer voting systems, and to foster a culture of freedom of speech within the council and ensure policy reviews comply with free speech obligations.
