Full council record
Purpose
The purpose of these proposals are to improve bus services on
Blackpool Road and Tulketh Brow, Preston which is a part of the
wider Bus Service Improvement Plans (BSIPS).
The proposals improve bus stop facilities and amenities of the area
by introducing raised boarding areas and associated road markings
allowing buses to align correctly with the raised boarding area and
depart safely.
These proposals will work together with proposed parking
restrictions to enhance overall bus journey times for the Superbus
route from Fylde into Preston City Centre.
Following receipt of feedback after the formal consultation period
carried out between 27 September 2024 to 25 October 2024, it is

Blackpool Road and retain it at its original location. This will
continue to meet the core purpose of the proposals whilst
addressing local residential and business concerns.
