Full council record
Purpose

The Town Council and Chamber of Commerce have
noted that there is low uptake of the EV charging bays on New
Street and Preston Street in Carnforth which has a detrimental
impact on short stay parking for access to the shops on the main
street.

The council has determined that a suitable approach would be to
retain the charging points but change these bays to also allow
access for all vehicles not just electric vehicles for short
periods. There are specific provisions for Electric Vehicles only
retained in the more accessible and frequently used bays on Market
Street.
