Purpose

The purpose of the removal of the existing
zebra crossing and replacement with the proposed Puffin crossings
is to provide safe crossing point for pedestrians to promote
sustainable travel and promote social inclusion. The proposal seeks
to mitigate against the increase in traffic and pedestrian
movements generated by the new housing development
Consultations
Formal consultation was carried out between 18 July 2025 and 15
August 2025 which included advertising in the local press and
notices being displayed on site. Divisional county councillors were
consulted along with the council's usual consultees and the
consultation documents posted on the council's website.

Following formal consultation No Objections were received.
