Purpose

This report presents an application from a
local organisation requesting £800 towards producing high
quality music concerts at St Helens Church in Waddington to raise
money for the church and concerts in Slaidburn Village Hall and to
provide the benefit of overcoming mobility, financial and
loneliness issues of local residents, from the Local Member Grants
Scheme.

County Councillor Ian Duxbury considered and approved a
Local Member Grant for the reduced amount of £500 to Ribble
Valley Music Festival towards the cost of producing high
quality music concerts at St Helens Church in Waddington to raise
money for the church and concerts in Slaidburn Village Hall and to provide the benefit
of overcoming mobility, financial and loneliness issues of local
residents.
 
The reason for the reduction is Councillor
Duxbury is reserving funding for additional organisations operating
within his division.
