Purpose

In order to complete the Moss Road scheme, it
is proposed to transfer £120,000 from PPMS 15225 to PPMS
16630. During construction, the project encountered unforeseen
challenges due to the road being founded on peat. As excavation
progressed, the design required several adjustments to address
ground conditions. These changes continued until test results
confirmed the appropriate design approach to support the road
construction and resurfacing. This transfer will provide the
necessary funding to complete the scheme successfully.
