Full council record
Purpose
Cooper Street - The purpose of this proposal
is to slightly shorten the existing southernmost limited waiting
bay on the east side. This is to improve access to the car
dealership business who have reported access issues for larger
transport vehicles.
Manchester Road - The purpose of this proposed Order is to
introduce No Waiting At Any Time restrictions to address road
safety issues raised by the former County Councillor regarding
onward visibility for vehicles emerging from Apex Close onto
Manchester Road, which is reduced due to parked vehicles close to
the junction.
Cobden Street & New Taylor Fold, Burnley - The purpose of this
proposal is to prevent vehicles from parking at this location,
which has been reported to have been obstructing local refuse
collection services, by introducing No Waiting At Any Time
restrictions on the corner of Cobden Street and New Taylor
Fold.
Darnley Street - The purpose of this proposal is to tidy up and
provide a Traffic Regulation Order for the school entrance markings
which have been present on Darnley Street since at least 2012, and
to allow for effective enforcement. This pedestrian access point is
a well-used access point for Unity College and is also used as an
emergency entrance/exit to the site if other accesses are
unavailable.
