Purpose
The purpose of this proposal is to upgrade the
existing bus stop Burnley Road at Bacup, with enforceable markings
and signs allowing buses to pull in safely and efficiently at the
stop.
The proposal intends to promote sustainable transport for all users
by including the construction of a raised platform, allowing safe
boarding and alighting of passengers and ensure the bus stops are
fully mobility compliant.
The proposals include the repositioning of the existing bus stop to
a more appropriate location to take into consideration the widening
of Hall Street and the change in use of the building. These changes
