Purpose

This report proposes to appoint County
Councillor Ellie Close to replace County Councillor Maria Jones as
the Champion for Combatting Sexual Exploitation and Violence
Against Women and Girls.

Decision

The Leader of the County Council approved the
appointment of County Councillor Ellie Close as the Champion for
Combatting Sexual Exploitation and Violence Against Women and
Girls, with immediate effect.
 
This decision should be implemented
immediately for the purposes of Standing Order C28(3) as any delay
could adversely affect the execution of the county council's
responsibilities and in particular the role and work of the
Champion mentioned in this report.
