Purpose

This report presents an application from a
local organisation requesting £1600 towards a community
Qawwali event to celebrate cultural heritage and promote social
cohesion, from the Local Member Grants Scheme.

County Councillor Sohail Asghar considered and approved a
Local Member Grant of £1600 to North West Men's Mental Health
Group towards the cost of a community Qawwali event to
celebrate cultural heritage and promote social cohesion.
 
Councillor Asghar declared a non-pecuniary
interest in this application as he knows the trustees of the
organisation.
