Purpose
The purpose of these proposals are to:
Support the improved amenities of Thornton-Cleveleys along Victoria
Road West by enhancing the pedestrian environment by removing
limited waiting parking and encourage vehicles to use other routes
and park in the Wyre car parks.
These proposals involve:
• The removal of limited waiting parking bays
• Relocating the Disabled Parking bays from Victoria Road West
to Bispham Road
• A new loading bay replacing an existing Taxi Bay
• A new Bus/Coach drop off point on Nutter Road
Consultations
Formal consultation was carried out between 27 August 2025 and 24
September 2025 which included advertising in the local press and
notices being displayed on site. Divisional county councillors were
consulted along with the council's usual consultees and the
consultation documents posted on the council's website.
Following formal consultation 1 Objections were received.
