Purpose

Statement of Reasons:
A controlled crossing is proposed to increase the safety of
pedestrians (particularly vulnerable young children or less mobile
elderly pedestrians) crossing the carriageway. The crossing is
proposed within close proximity to the nearby local amenities
because of the subsequent increase in the number of pedestrians
wishing to cross the carriageway at this location.
