Purpose

This report presents the proposed SEND capital
programme for 2026/27, outlining the key aims and proposals for

of the SEND Strategy and the Priority Action Plan to ensure

as close to home as possible.  Proposals
include a range of provision, including new special schools,
expansions of existing sites, post 19 settings and further
increasing the number of SEND units across the county. This report
outlines the wider informal engagement that has taken place and
feedback received. Approval is requested to proceed with formal
consultation for the 11 project proposals outlined within this
report.
