Purpose

This report presents an application from a
local organisation requesting £926.20 towards ceremonial
equipment for two RBL branch standards, and items of ceremonial
dress for two branch standard bearers, from the Local Member Grants
Scheme.

County Councillor Hannah Whalley considered
and approved a Local Member Grant for the reduced amount of
£750 to Leyland Branch, The Royal British Legion (RBL)
towards the cost of ceremonial equipment for two RBL branch
standards, and items of ceremonial dress for two branch standard
bearers.
 
The reason for the reduction is Councillor
Whalley is reserving funding to support additional organisations
operating within her division, however,
she strongly encourages the group to consider reapplying to the
Local Member Grant Scheme again in the new financial year.
 
County Councillor Whalley declared a
non-pecuniary interest in this application as she is a member of
the Leyland RBL branch.
