Purpose

Rawtenstall Gyratory System is to undergo an improvement scheme to reduce congestion and enhance safety. The scheme included carriageway widening lane confirmation amendments and traffic signal system upgrades.

This proposal also seeks to introduce additional No Waiting at Any Time restrictions at the southern extent of the Gyratory system and to tidy up the existing Traffic Regulation Order to allow for effective enforcement.

Consultations

Formal consultation was carried out between 27th February-2026 until 27th March-2026 which included advertising in the local press and notices being displayed on site. Divisional county councillors were consulted along with the council's usual consultees and the consultation documents posted on the council's website.

Following formal consultation No Objections were received
