Purpose
The report sets out the direction for developing Lancashire’s future Model of Care. It responds to the council's Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection findings and explains how we plan to develop options for the future of our direct delivery of adult social care services, including the role of Lancashire’s in-house services, with a focus on improving people’s experience of care and support. The report also sets out the findings of the recent public consultation into the provider redesign business case.
The new model of care will be shaped and moulded by co-production sessions, demonstrating how our residents expect services and support to be delivered, whilst also meeting our statutory duties and delivering the best services possible to Lancashire residents.
The new Lancashire Adult Social Care Model of Care will be made available for Cabinet to consider in the Autumn.
