Purpose

The Auctioneering Services agreement was initiated to assist in the disposal of Authority properties that are no longer required. The properties are predominantly situated within the county of Lancashire in urban and rural areas as well as small town/village settings. Properties are varied and examples include schools, office accommodation, day centres, children's homes, highway depots and surplus land.

The services are delivered via a single supplier framework agreement, with call off instructions issued as and when suitable properties are identified for disposal.

Extension to the contract has no financial burden on the County Council as it is essentially a concessions contract with purchaser paying the auctioneers fees.

Decision

Gary Jones, Estate Manager, on behalf of Director of Growth and Property, approved the contract extension for the provision of Property Auctioneer Services for 12 months from the 22nd July 2026 to the 21st July 2027.
