Purpose
No Waiting at Any Time:
The purpose of this proposal is to extend current No Waiting at Any Time restrictions and introduce new prohibition of waiting restrictions to prevent obstructive parking behaviour, especially around the site of the proposed pedestrian crossing.
The proposals will allow for the safe access and egress to the new residential development along Market Street and help to maintain visibility along this road ensuring the safe movement of traffic and pedestrians.
School Keep Clear markings:
It is proposed to relocate the existing school keep clear markings on Market Street Edenfield slightly further northwards. The purpose of this is to facilitate the construction of the Puffin Crossing at this location which will help to provide safer road crossing facilities for pedestrians between the proposed development and the primary school on the eastern side of Market Street.
