Purpose

The purpose of the Bus Stops clearway is to support the upgrade of a relocated bus stop to provide a quality bus stop. This is to allow the buses to pull in and out safely and allow effective enforcement. A raised boarding platform will also be installed to ensure safe boarding and alighting of mobility impaired passengers and ensure the bus stops are fully mobility compliant.

The proposals include the relocation of the existing south bound bus stop to a more appropriate location.

Consultations

For Bus Stops - Formal consultation was carried out between 18 July 2025 until 15 August 2025 which included frontagers to the proposed location of the Bus Stop being notified and notices being displayed on site. Divisional county councillors were consulted along with the council's usual consultees.
