Purpose

It is proposed to introduce a No Waiting at Any Time restriction on both sides of a section of Haydocks Lane, along with School Keep Clear restrictions at the entrance to the new car park. Bollards will also be installed in the verge, covering the length of the waiting restriction.

Together, these measures will prohibit obstructive parking to improve visibility, increase safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers using the new car park entrance.

The new car park entrance off Haydocks Lane is being built as part of the redevelopment of Cottam Primary School.

Consultations
Formal consultation was carried out between 06th March-2026 until 03rd April-2026 which included advertising in the local press and notices being displayed on site. Divisional county councillors were consulted along with the council's usual consultees and the consultation documents posted on the council's website.

Following formal consultation 2 Objections were received.
