Purpose
As part of the normal process of service delivery, the approved highways capital programme now requires amendments to allow effective delivery the Programme.
Head of Service is asked to approve the reallocation of funds within the above programme in order to reconcile unprocessed cost on completed projects. Details of the proposed reallocation is shown in Appendix A 'Changes to the Bridges Maintenance Capital Programme August 2026' attached with this report.
The reallocations are between projects in the same programme and there is no change to the total approved budget. The changes will allow the total number of live projects to be reduced and completed projects to be reconciled. There are transfers between projects in different programme years. This is to ensure that funds are used effectively by supporting project delivery.
The proposed changes can be accommodated within the overall approved programme allocation. There is no change to the overall approved budget.
