Purpose
The purpose of the proposed order is to support the improved amenity in Colne Town Centre, with improved pedestrian and Public Transport access and linkage around Colne.
The proposal will include:
• The introduction of No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading at Any Time along Craddock Road.
• Reduction in the length of the Limited Waiting 1 Hour No Return Within 2 Hours Mon-Sat 7am-7pm Parking Bay on Craddock Road
The introduction of No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading at Any Time restrictions are intended to allow safe manoeuvre of buses to and from Colne Bus Station by preventing obstructive parking and allowing for effective enforcement.
The reduction in the length of the limited waiting parking bay is to facilitate the safe manoeuvre of buses exiting Colne Bus Station.
The proposals along Craddock Road will form part of wider works to upgrade Colne Bus Station to improve Public Transport encouraging people to commute ie enhancing health and air quality for the residents of Colne.

Formal consultation was carried out between 10/07/2026 and 07/08/2026 which included advertising in the local press and notices being displayed on site. Divisional county councillors were consulted along with the council's usual consultees and the consultation documents posted on the council's website.
