Purpose

The proposals are part of the wider Bus Service Improvement Plans (BSIPs) and aim to enhance bus services and amenities for passengers by introducing raised boarding areas and traffic regulation orders so that buses can arrive and depart efficiently and safely.

The proposal includes:
• Bus Stop Clearways and Bus Stands to prioritise bus services and encourage the use of public transport.

It is hoped this will give confidence to encourage more users to consider commuting via non-motorised means and this will improve health and air quality for the residents.

Consultations
For Bus Stops - Formal consultation was carried out between 9th July 2026 until 6th August 2026 which included frontagers to the proposed location of the Bus Stop being notified and notices being displayed on site. Divisional county councillors were consulted along with the council's usual consultees.

Following formal consultation No Objections were received.
