The Development Control Committee approved planning permission for the reprofiling of a former landfill site using imported inert materials, including a new access, subject to amendments to conditions 12 and 15 and the applicant entering into a Section 106 Agreement. The committee also granted planning permission for an easterly lateral extension to Ellel Crag Quarry, followed by infilling with imported inert waste and restoration, subject to a Section 106 Agreement and conditions. Additionally, planning permission was granted for variations to extend landfilling and inert waste transfer/recycling operations at Ellel Crag Quarry, subject to Section 106 Agreements and conditions. Finally, planning permission was granted for the extension and restoration of Tong Quarry, subject to an additional condition regarding the reinstatement of an access track and footpath.
