The Lancashire County Council Development Control Committee approved recommendations on 24 July 2019. The committee noted the appointment of County Councillors B Yates and S Clarke as Chair and Deputy Chair, and the constitution, membership, and terms of reference of the committee. They also granted planning permission for variations at Claughton Moor Quarry and Claughton Manor Brickworks, and for an extension to Bleasdale House School. Planning permission was refused for an extension to the hours of operation at Recycling Lives. The committee resolved to visit sites at Heysham and Cannock before determining an application for an energy recovery facility.
