Lancashire County Council Full Council decided on 24 February 2022 to approve recommendations from the Cabinet and Audit, Risk and Governance Committee. The council also resolved to write to the Home Secretary regarding nitrous oxide regulation and to support campaigns for safer public spaces. Additionally, the council agreed to sign the Race to Zero pledge and write to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities regarding funding.

Lancashire County Council Full Council decided on 24 January 2022 to support an outline "Our New Deal for a Greater Lancashire" as a basis for further discussion and development of a County Deal. The council also agreed to principles of governance for any future deal and that the Leader of the Council would continue to work with Lancashire Leaders.
