Lancashire County Council, on 14/07/2022, approved recommendations from notices of motion. The council resolved to rename the Assembly Hall 'The Platinum Jubilee Hall' and instructed the Chief Executive to develop a plan for free 'warm and welcome' public buildings across Lancashire, with funding to be made available from existing budgets and reserves.
