Lancashire County Council approved recommendations on 13/07/2023. The council condemned illegal protests and urged them to cease, resolved to write to the Police and Crime Commissioner about resident safety, and to the Director-General of the BBC about local radio resources. Additionally, the council resolved to write to the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Health and Social Care regarding vaping products and to ask the Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing to report to the Health and Wellbeing Board on enforcement and dangers of vaping. Finally, the council resolved to develop a policy framework for a play streets pilot, contact officers with similar schemes, and present proposals to Cabinet for approval.
