The Leader of the County Council approved recommendations for Lead Member and Champion appointments on 19/09/2023. The post of Lead Member for Community and Cultural Services was renamed Lead Member for Cultural Services and Skills, and County Councillor Ash Sutcliffe was appointed. The post of Lead Member for Education and Skills/Children and Families was disestablished. The post of Lead Member for Resources, HR and Property was renamed Lead Member for Finance and Resources, and County Councillor Mike Goulthorp was appointed. A new post of Lead Member for Environment was established, and County Councillor Jeff Couperthwaite was appointed. County Councillor Loraine Cox was appointed Champion for Young People.
