The Environment, Economic Growth and Transport Scrutiny Committee approved recommendations on 21/09/2023 regarding the Tree Asset Management Plan. The committee agreed to remove the moratorium on tree planting within adopted highway verges and establish a working group to review historic tree planting licences. They also agreed to a net gain of 5,000 new trees per year and to develop bespoke management plans for each woodland.
