Lancashire County Council's Decision Maker approved recommendations on 12/10/2023. The council resolved to adopt The Co-operative Party's Diverse Councils Declaration, adopt The Charter for Families Bereaved Through Public Tragedy, carry out urgent surveys of M65 motorway bridges and take preventative measures including increasing railing heights, and establish a Warm and Welcome Places Grants Scheme. The council will appoint Diversity Ambassadors, encourage under-represented groups to stand for office, and provide mentoring and shadowing programmes.
