Purpose

This report proposes to rename the "Lead Member for Environment" post to "Lead Member for Economic Development and Environment", and that County Councillor Carole Haythornthwaite be appointed to this position. It also proposes to replace County Councillor Carole Haythornthwaite with County Councillor Peter Britcliffe as Champion for Disabled People.

Decision

The Leader of the County Council approved the recommendations as set out in the report.

This decision should be implemented immediately for the purposes of Standing Order C29 as any delay could adversely affect the execution of the county council's responsibilities and in particular the role and work of the Lead Member and Champion mentioned in the report.
