Lancashire Full Council decided to approve the minutes from its Ordinary Meeting on 12 October 2023 and its Extraordinary General Meeting on 27 November 2023 on 14 December 2023. The council resolved to adopt the Charter for Families Bereaved Through Public Tragedy and instructed the Chief Executive and Head of Health, Safety and Resilience to bring proposals to Cabinet for including its principles in the council's "Emergency, Planning, Resilience and Response Framework". The council also resolved to carry out urgent surveys of motorway bridges on the M65 from junction 10 to 14, take preventative measures, and ask National Highways to take similar steps on their estate.
