Purpose

A review of the LCC Regulation of Investigatory Powers Policy to ensure it complies with the current legislation and codes of practice and a summary of the activity undertaken by LCC that requires approval.

The Audit, Risk and Governance Committee is asked to approve the corporate policies on:

(i) RIPA Surveillance
(ii) Non-RIPA surveillance
(iii) The use of social media and the Internet in investigations
