Purpose

Seeking authority to
procure a framework contract for the supply of freshly filled
sandwiches, wraps, salads, pasta pots and other grab and go savoury
items for Leeds City Council. The framework contract will comprise
of several Lots which include schools, Adult Social Care, Cafes
within Green Spaces and Museums and Galleries. This will allow
tenderers to bid for one or any number of Lots.
The contract being
procured may also be used by other council outlets such as sports
centres and the in-house civic catering provider ‘Civic
Flavour’.
The contract will be
for a period of 3 years with options to extend for up to an
additional 12 months.
The overall value of the contract (including
extensions) has the potential to be £600k based upon needing
to purchase large quantities of sandwiches, wraps, salads, pasta
pots and other grab and go savoury items.

The Director of Communities, Housing and
Environment has approved the decision to procure a new framework
contract for the supply of sandwiches, wraps and other savoury
items. The new contract will be for an initial period of 3 years
with the option to extend for a further 12 month period, with the
estimated value of the contract being £600k over the full 4
years contract term.
