The Director of Adults and Health has approved
the award of a new contract award utilising Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii)
of the Public Contracts Regulations (PCR) 2015 (Negotiated
Procedure without prior publication) to the Service Provider for a
five-year contract commencing 2nd December 2024 and expiring on 1st
December 2029. The contract is for the provision of care services
at the extra care scheme located at Hunslet Moor House, Beeston.
The contract made between the Council and the Service Provider will
attract a nominal consideration of £20 per annum (£100
for the 5-year contract term), with a referred estimated care
expenditure of £2,735,304.00 (based on full occupation of the
site for the full 5-year contract term) payable to Service Provider
through direct payments and/or managed budgets, under the
Council’s statutory obligations.
The Director of Adults and Health has noted that the officers on
behalf of Adults and Health Integrated Commissioning will work with
colleagues from Procurement and Commercial Services to finalise the
contract award with commissioning officers being responsible for
monitoring the contract for its duration.
The Director of Adults and Health has recognised that Appendix 2
should be designated as exempt from publication with Access to
Information procedure rules 10.4 (3).
The Director of Adults and Health has noted that this decision is a
direct result of the original Key Decision D55799.
