The Chief Officer for Environmental Services
noted the contents of the report and approved the award of the
available 2 x 2-year contract extension to Sims Group UK under
contract DN403021 Scrap Metal and Lead Acid Battery Collection,
Transportation and Recycling. The extension will run from 1st March
2025 until 28th February 2029. The contract has an estimated value
of £464K income per annum, but this is subject to change as
markets fluctuate.
