Purpose

The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local
Government (MHCLG) have informed Leeds City Council of funding
being made available to LCC from the Rough Sleeping Prevention and
Recovery Grant and the Rough Sleeping Accommodation Programme. A
Key decision will be required to receive the grant and allocate for
the purposes agreed with MHCLG in a timely way.
The grant will cover revenue expenditure for a
variety of interventions which will assist the city to deliver its
ambitions to reduce the numbers of people who are rough sleeping
and to deliver positive outcomes.
Approval is being sought to:
· accept the grant
allocation from MHCLG of £2,153,577 for 2025-26
· award the grant allocation
to a number of organisations to enhance the support to people who
are rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping and/ or
homelessness in Leeds
