Purpose

Approval will be sought to accept the 2025/26
allocation of the Local Stop Smoking Services and Support Grant
from the Office of Health Improvement & Disparities.

The Deputy Director of
Public Health has –
 

Accepted
£961,984 from the Office of Health Improvement and
Disparities (OHID) via the Local Stop Smoking Services and Support
Grant for the period 1st April 2025 to 31st
March 2026.

 

Approved the direct
award of a contract, under Regulation 10 The Health Care Services
(Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 Most Suitable Provider
Process, to Inspire
North 2024 Limited to provide the Leeds Stop Smoking Service
(community service for people who smoke with, or are at risk of,
developing a common mental health illness and / or a long term
physical health condition). The contract will be for a period of 1
year commencing 1st April 2025 (with an option to extend
for a period of up to 36 months in any combination) with a budget
of up to a maximum of £470,000 per annum (£1,880,000
for the full contract period including extensions).

 

Noted that separate
approvals will be sought for the expenditure of the remainder of
the 2025/26 allocation.
